I live in the UK, and am entitled to child support from the ex for our baby when he arrives. But the ex is saying that instead of doing it through the Government, and paying a set amount per week/month whatever, he wants me to keep receipts of everything I buy for George and he will pay for everything (when he actually gets a job of course). His theory is that the Government take his money, keep some and give me some, and he doesn want the Government keeping any, he wants it all for George (the baby). I'm just not sure this is true, and how practical it is to give him receipts for everything. What if I buy him a teddy or something and the ex says he doesn't agree with paying for that... I'm confused! Anyone anymore clued up than me?
