hi this is probably kinda ot but for the last week its been pretty cold in CT. and we have a split level house. well, upstairs right now it is 61 and down in the lr it is somewhat higher. i confronted stbx with question this morning, Why is it so cold in the mornings, i.e. 60-61 degrees. he says he had the heat OFF because the fire was on last night and he does nt have a whle lot of money to get oil in the tank. so he is trying to conserve a bit. well the f'n house was on 60 upstairs when i got home tonight and maybe 62 in the LRw hen i got home with the boys. i am not happy with this situation obviously. so i highered the setting to 67 when i got in . the boys were cold and i am not going to tolerate these conditions. i'll take my boys and leave first. he doesnt have much money to get oil now cuase it is 3. a gallon but he ahs money to buy 2 pairs of sneakers , a pair of shorts for volleyball, monty to get the truck fixed and to take the boys out tto the moviesand out to eat etc. any inputs

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My furnace wasn't working for a long time. My stbx claimed that he knew what is wrong. He would come over and mess around with it and it would work just long enough for him to get out of the door.
I was finally at the end of my rope earlier this week (after the house didn't get above 60 degrees for over three weeks) and asked that he call the furnace guy that he called in the past to see if he could take a look at it. Well, he gave the furnace guy my cell phone number to have him contact me to figure it out.
The guy called and he diagnosed what was wrong over the phone and explained to me why it wasn't working. I ended up opening the furnace up and fixing it myself!!!
I know it doesn't really help you with your situation, but I just had to share. It was a very liberating moment to realize that I can make it on my own.
We get a bad bad heat spell and the AC is just not kicking, I remind my ex about the radio controlled device. Duh..not a wise move on my part. At the time my ex had a broken leg and was miserable in a cast. He hobbles out to the garage...grabs one of the kids baseball bats....he swings like Babe Ruth...the AC kicks just fine. Two days later housing mantainence is at our door 'what do you know about his broken device' they say. Ex shows them his cast and says "do I look like I've been running around lately?". informs them since our yard is the largest all the kids in area play here, who knows. New device installed..hour later...Babe Ruth is at it again..this goes on a few times housing office gives up. No device is reinstalled. Come winter a new device is installed and wouldn't you know it..we have the coldest winter on record..and Babe Ruth is still the sultan of swat!
He definately has priority issues.
It's winter, it's cold, you need heat....
