Where do you "cut your losses" and settle? I am in a position that my house is not "done." My husband expects us to live together until it is. Mind you he is a contractor. ha! I cannot live as a roommate. I proposed to him a settlement where he would give me his annuity (he was a union carpenter) , he can keep the house, his social security. pension, etc. just so I can start a new life. I cannot live with him as a companion. Watch what he does, where he goes, etc. Maybe I'm pathetic but that's the truth. Any advice? By the way we have been married for 27 years.
