I was discussing Christmas gifts for the kids with my ex. I already purchased the gift for two of my three children from Santa. My youngest daughter wants a horse ( ButterScotch - if you have a young girl you'll know what I'm talking about). My ex said he was going to buy it for her, I said great can it be from Santa, it is all she asked for from Santa. He said no because
he wants it to be from him and she will have to keep it at his house to play with. His work takes him away from home four or five days a week so the kids do not go to his house often. He also told me he was buying them a bunch of other expensive gifts because he wants them to WANT to come to his house. I said we don't want to go down that path with the kids.

Does anyone else have experience with this? I think the kids should be able to keep their gift wherever they want - thats why they are called gifts...I think he should contribute to the gifts from Santa. I never thought things would get so ridiculous.
