Don't know where JTGPP got his stats but if 70% of men cheat and 40% of women cheat - then that leaves 60% of us women looking for the 30% of men who DON'T cheat.
*trying to retract my claws*
So that brings me to the question LYNTHEGAL brought up...How come some men and women DON'T cheat?
My personal list:
1. a vow is a vow - when you make them - you should take them seriously. The starter marriage concept is a sad state of affairs. (pun intended)
2. Sometimes love is not just a feeling - but a DECISION. When you are married to someone - you are supposed to love them unconditionally (just as you love your children)
3. Cheating destroys lives, careers, etc. It does not just impact your own life, but also that of your spouse, your children, your extended families. Some people never heal from these hurts.
4. While I love and respect God and desire to please him in ALL that I do. I also fear him. There is scripture (Romans chp 1) that speaks of God removing his hand of restraint from people's lives and giving them over to their lustful desires.
Just so I do not come as some self-righteous bible thumper - I want to say that a big reason I have NEVER cheated is not because I am some super saint. It is because when I've had the opportunity - I didn't have the desire. If any hint of desire crept in (when I was considering a revenge affair) I did not have the oportunity. I am very thankful that the Lord protected me from hurting myself, my reputation and my family. I am even thankful I did not hurt my spouse - though I sometimes think he deserved it.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
My brother says the same thing you just said. He consistently says all men are dogs. I don't want to believe that's always the case but it has been in my experience.
I could NOT find any resources to help me locally, my therapist was expensive, and I wanted to move forward. I found this site. www.dearpeggy.com
it is ONLY for people who've been cheated on, and want to find ways to recover. there was not a local meeting group in my home area so I started one, and the people came out through the woodwork. From all walks of life, from as far as 75 miles away... My statement was wrong on the so called polled statistics from the site...
"Conservative estimates are that 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women will have an extramarital affair. These figures are even more significant when we consider the total number of marriages involvedsince it's unlikely that all the men and women having affairs happen to be married to each other. If even half of the women having affairs (or 20 percent) are married to men not included in the 60 percent having affairs, then at least one partner will have an affair in approximately 80 percent of all marriages."
