Hi, I have a Case Management Conference set for next Monday. As far as I understand, this is the time when the lawyers assign dates to certain tasks which need to be done, and decides who will pay for them, like valuating the home. My case is a little complicated, since we have one home under construction (actually construction is near the end but stbx has essentially stopped) and one one we live in. Ours is a telephone conference, with a judge. This sounds like it could only benefit me, as stbx is doing things which are counter productive, so with a "legally" assigned date to getting tasks done, he has no choice, I'm hoping. I'd love to see him held in contempt for not doing what should be done (all these 33 years, but that's asking too much).
Does anyone know if I need to be on the call? Just started a new job 2 days ago and would prefer not to already have to take time off. I'm waiting to hear back from my lawyer on this but I'd love to hear veteran's opinions.

However, I check out his posts from time to time, and sure enough I see one of...

I took a break from him for a couple weeks and he didn't have any response to it. We talked and goofed off a bit when I came back to talking with him. Today and last night I was getting terrified about the riots and tried calling...
