Anybody have experience with getting a divorce without an attorney and whether you ran into any diffuculties or problems during or after the divorce was complete? We do not have a ton of assets to split up and we could most likely come to agreements on the terms of the divorce. However, we do own a home together and have a 2 year old son. Those are the two sticky issues that I could foresee being issues that one may want to have a lawyer involved. I have seen some online sources that get good reviews for minimal fees to do you own divorce. The problem though is that you have to pay up front before you can really determine whether it could work for you. At least that's the way it appears to me on the few that I've looked at. Any feedback/suggestions based on experience would be helpful.
