For many months, and many more yet, the little business area where my Dr is has been doing very invasive roadworks. This has blocked off many little roads etc. Because of phyisical problems I use a disability scooter to go to the shops etc as cant walk that far now. Top surgeon had a bad day and this is the result, it happens. But then they started blocking off access to footpaths etc and hadnt had to manage to find alternate ways to get onto footpaths before and then running late for drs appt. I got so confused, went into a temp lobe seizure blank, no idea where I was or where Dr even was. Used cell phone, near tears, to ring Drs receptionist and say would be late as lost. She kindly asked her to tell me a building I was close to and how to get to Drs. That should have helped, but all the stress just made it worse, went past them twice up and down before I called hubby. He said he could hear the fear in my voice, he has missed the others that can be worse, talked me back to Drs just a few buildings back, then got in car to come looking for me. All caused by the stress of what had been changed to stop me going usual way. Scooter cant just climb a footpath, needs a drive on angle up and down and the council had blocked several, which to me is wrong for all who need them. Dr let me sit in waiting room and calm down and saw a couple of others before me which was thoughtful of him, and checked I was now ok to drive home a different way, away from centre. How many others find stress affects them in different ways? Left me exhausted rest of day and very tired.
