Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
As for my memory loss. I hasn't gotten better. But, I have learned to deal with it. Association tricks to help me remember things and the all important note pad which is never far from my side.

My short term memory is improving but i have to really work hard to get info into long term memory.
And in my case I am best to try to remember somthing vurbally not written ,-or per say ,ill remember what i said but not what I have written .we are all different.
I forgot to tell you when my TBI happened,it was Jan.27,1992.
