I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Maybe do an internet search about dogs running /excersing with their people and see how much your dog should run.
best wishes.
Drinking can actually trigger seizures, so it's good you stopped drinking! I had to go cold turkey right in the middle of college, which was when I had my first seizure.
As for the running, it sounds great!
As for the dog, we will all be thinking about him as he helped you through a difficult time.
Oddly enough, I have a funny story about dogs and brain injury patients: The first time I had a stroke, I was at a smaller hospital near the house, waiting on a bed in the hall for SIX HOURS because the ICU I was headed to downtown didn't have a bed.
So I finally get up to the ICU and they've got me laid out, hooked up to all this stuff, and all of a sudden I feel something fuzzy under my hand. I managed to lift my head enough to see this standard poodle standing next to me. In the INTENSIVE CARE UNIT.
Of course, it was one of those therapy dogs, not just some random dog that wandered in. But getting to pet a dog for even just 15 minutes or so helped immensely.
So good luck to the homie, let's hope he gets better too.
