A brain tumor is any intracranial tumor created by abnormal and uncontrolled cell division, normally either found in the brain itself, in the cranial nerves, in the brain envelopes, skull, pituitary and pineal gland, or spread from cancers primarily located in other organs (metastatic tumors). Brain tumors may be benign or malignant.

Peggy, If you had the operation in July of 07 how is it that you r just now going back to work in March. Did you take extra time to regroup? Where you able to return to work in 4-6 weeks?
I have a ton of questions as I prepare for my surgery. I thought I could let it alone, but I am beginning to see the effect it has having on my being.

I'm forgetting to check this website on a regular basis. Depending on how big the tumor is and the invasiveness of the operation. My recovery was 6 mths. There is no way I could have gone back to work in 4-6 weeks. It's mostly that you are tired a lot and your body needs to be rested. Maybe could have gone back in 3 mths but I am fortunate that my company let me be out for 6 and the doctor signed off on it. Let me know if you want more details on the recovery.

Yes, I asked some questions int he other thread. My tumor is the size of a small jellybean in the left temporal lobe. At last check Dec.07, 2008. That is the first I knew of it. How do they even know they have to take it out. If it isn't growing can it just left be.

My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
