In my city we have a huge recycling centre which the council runs for no profit so people can drop off their unwanted goods instead of dumping them and filling up the landfill. There are shelves and shelves and shelves of books. Normally the books are 4 for $1 yes I know that's cheap but today ALL THE BOOKS WERE FREE!!!! Oh it was booklovers' heaven! You should have seen the smiling happy faces browsing the shelves. I came away with a pile of children's books for the grandchildren, a Roget's thesaurus of synonyms and antonyms (for crossword puzzles), I'm dancing as fast as I can by Barbara Gordon, and a Dean Kootnz for my daughter. Happy Days.
