I have had retina problems for a few years but luckily it / they have not detached. However i do travel a lot in Europe on business and are worried that if i have the symptoms of a detached retina weather i should try a fly home (normally 1.5 hour max) or go to a hospital in another country. Obviously i would rather be home where i know thow the hospital and have my family there. So the question is apart from the 1.5 hours delay in getting home would the actual flight (air pressure etc) harm me. I know that once you have had surgery to re-attach the retina in some cases you cannot fly for 12 weeks. Thanks for any responses.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
