I have a three year old son with a hypoxic brain injury who has also been diagnosed with CVI. Does anyone on here have any experiences with this? Sometimes I feel like Gavin can see me...is that crazy? lol
Just wanted to throw this out there for discussion. We have worked previously with the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired and they have a wonderful staff. I just haven't kept up with therapies because we have a very busy schedule (he also has PT,OT, Speech, etc...)
Thanks for the potential input :)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
mom said they thought I was deaf for many years also, because I did not speak a word until I was 4 1/2 years old, my mom thought i was going to be another hellen keller until suddenly out of the blue I started to speak.
but yeah I mean, I remember some of that, and I always knew when my mom was around. I could hear her whenever she walked into the room, I could feel her, I always knew she was there, even when she did not think I did, so that is not unusual no.
he may not be seeing you with his eyes. Even if he is just visually impaired and not completely blind, he probably does not recognize your face or anyone elses either, I still have that issue to this day, but we have our other senses which can tell us just as much as if we did have eyesight, if not more so.
