Does anyone know anything about Charles Bonnet Syndrome? It is also known as Phantom Vision. My friend suddenly lost her complete eyesight two months ago. A week ago she said she started to see visions as she called them which made her very stressed as she knew what she was seeing wasn't there or real. Someone from the Canadian National Institute for the Blind told her the name for it. When she asked her eye specialist he said there is a name for it but never discussed it further. :( I found quite a bit online and read a good portion of it to my friend..I wondered if anyone here has heard of it or has had it happen to them? My friend is very relieved to find out it isn't all that uncommon. I don't understand why the eye specialist didn't choose to discuss it with her..he just told her to talk to her family dr. meanwhile from what I have read it can happen to anyone that loses some of their sight.
