I HAVE BEEN TO THIS BLIND SCHOOL AND I KNOW IT'S FOR MY OWN GOOD. I GO HOME ON THE WEEKENDS. BUT DURING THE WEEK I FEEL SO ALONE. I CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP. I MISS MY BECCA DURING THE WEEK! I CAN'T TOUCH HER OR BE WITH HER. SHE IS 4 HOURS AWAY FROM THE BLIND SCHOOL. SHE LIVES ON THE NAVY BASE WITH OUR BABIES. HOW CAN I MAKE THE LONELENESS GO AWAY. I'M SCARED OF EVERYTHING. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I used to feel that way too when I was 11 when my mom first sent me away to the Blind school, but after awhile I made friends, started getting involved in group activities, so on and so forth, and that feeling slowly went away over time.
I understand how you feel, truly I do, but remember, you are an advocate for other blind people, It is ok to feel emotionally attached to your family, but its not ok to depend upon them for your everyday needs. You have to learn how to fend for yourself, happily married or not, because your becca may not be around forever, and cannot be around you in every situation in life, so you have to learn how to use your other senses to continue being independent :)
A Blind school is not a nursing home, or adult daycare place for retarded people. You are an intelligent sensitive man, who just happens to be blind, nothing wrong with that, and you have to learn how to use your other senses to do the things you used to do in life.
only children have to go to blind schools from kindergarten thru 12th grade, adults only have to go for a couple of months, so its not that big of a deal :)
