Dec 06 I was diagnosed, Feb 07 had surgery, but could not get at one tumor, so was scheduled for BCG with laser removal of a tumor in June. Sep I went back for a checkup and they found more. The BCG was a waste of time. My local doctor recommended bladder removal...GASP.... Went for second opinion. October 07 went to see another doc in Boston and he removed tumor and had second round of BCG. Scheduled for followup cysto on 5/5, but passing some blood, so figure he will remove more tumors.
They say I am too heavy for a external bag. which leaves the Indiana pouch, made from large intestine, or a neobladder using large and small intestine. I have heard that the neobladder leaks alot and many people endup with diapers.
IDEAS??? Answers? Advise? Help???

I am on two websites which are considered the best regarding bladder cancer. One here in the States and one in Germany. The one here in the states is called Bladder Cancer Web Cafe. What I hear is that the Neo Bladder is the best solution. There may be some problems later but they can be handled. I would suggest you go to that website and get all the info you need.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
