I have a friend who is combatting depression and may have bipolar tendencies. He has been taking Zoloft for over a year and finds that it works fairly well, but he still has issues with depression/anger. I suggested adding a lower lose of Abilify in with his current medication. Adding in Abilify seems to be a popular trend these days and it seems to work too (form what I've heard). I was thinking of suggesting something like 5mg of Ablilify on top of his Zoloft. Any ideas or experiences? I know all of the side effects of the drug. I have taken it myself at doses ranging from 2mg to 20mg over a scattered period of 18 months. I have come to like it (bite my tongue) lately. I just want to know if anyone out there is on this or a similar combo for either depression or bipolar. He is between doctors right now and is currently relying on the advice of an experienced bipolar friend (guess who).
