Ahhhhhh! I know some of my post have been more "hobbie" oriented, but I've done the best I can to try to reply to as many post as I can; especially if it is something that I'm familiar with (being a therapist and all).
I feel like I going nutz! I help and I help, and it is graifing know that I may have made a diference in someones life (here or one of my clients), but I am running on empty. The holidays, fighting with my dad and his alcoholism (I finally confonted him & he refused to even hear it, muc less except it)....so there's Xmas down the drain. Sux cause I have a great relationship with my mom. My Fiance is awesome and is the best thing that ever happened to me. So times I wonder why I got so lucky. Cause usually if I didn't have bad luck, i'd have no luck at all. :(
Feels a bit better getting it out, but what can I say..."ahh Foget about it!"

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
As far as discussing hobbies, please do, I always find it interesting to speak to people about what they are most passionate about. :)
Don't worry, the tide always turns. :)
This is a strssful time but take out the stress by deciding that you are not going to worry over presents, money, family or anything and just celebrate the day for what it is- Christ's birthday.
Merry Christmaas

That's pretty good, I reckon...wish I had some mustard to go with that, um hum! LOL - little laughter never killer anyone.
Cheers!
I think it's pretty common for "helpers" to register "empty," professional or not. It's my experience that when I feel that way, I need to step back, reassess priorities, and turn inward. And then I figure out that I need to reach out. You do everything you have to to find your center and peace. Those turn out, every time, to be healthy things: music, meditation, prayer, attention to diet & exercise, laughing, crying, talking, getting help.
There are just some situations you can't "help". And that's ok. Then there are others where you are helping and you didn't even know it. Get some rest. Eat a good, hot meal. Talk to your friends and play with your pet. You'll get it back because it's still there.
