So many days, I go through the hours feeling paralyzed by a lack of meaning. I think of doing something, only to have that impulse stopped dead in its tracks by thoughts that whisper, "What does it matter?" Because I'm in a transitional phase right now and spending my days at home, I'm especially struggling with this. Yesterday a whole day went by and I did nothing but feel miserable and at loose ends -- nothing felt worthwhile. Can any of you relate -- or maybe have words of wisdom? Where and how do you find meaning when it feels like there is none?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things.
