When I can read I will read anything. Sometimes I get this unquenchable thirst for knowledge and find myself in the library for hours. I'll get one idea in my head and read everyhting I can find about it. That inevitably leads me to other things. One time whne I was stuck at home for a few days with no tv. The only book I could find was a Tabers Medical Encyclopedia. I read it from cover to cover. I recently did a search about mythology and was so fascinated by the similarities in myths from one region to another that it led me to Karl Jangs' theory of the collective unconsiusness. Now I've been reading all I can about him. The learning will never stop.

I also enjoy fiction. I like crime-dramas, sci-fi, fantasy. My favorite Author of all time is Anne Rice. I have all of her Vampire books as well as the Mayfair Witch series. I love her writing. Happy for her, but bummed she found the Lord and won't write like that anymore.

Too restless to read. Watch a lot of mind numbing TV.

I like Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series and lots of self injury and history of mental health books

I love to read, "War and Peace!" It is a very exciting drawn out story.

It is the only book I read, over and over again. And no matter what I do it still doesn't get more exciting.

I'm thinking of cheating on my W&P book and read some of Jonathan Kellerman.

i cant read still at mo..too many words on a page..I did read sci-fi/philiosophy-Philip K Dick a fav (read em over n over again trying to understand!?!)and good cheap trashy easi-to-read horror novels..at the mo i look at pictures/exerts from Empire movie mag..im aiming for Harry Potter ...

i love a good clean fantasy, anything from Harry Potter to a reimagined fairy tale (The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale was wonderful). I also like historical fiction, and a crime novel every now and then. Reading is my escape and anything far away from ordinary is my favorite.

Ray Bradbury stories. Was a sci-fi fan age 11/12/13. I'm 55 & re-reading classics. Dostoyevsky. Hemingway. I used to work in the Detective Unit of a big police dept. so anything Ann Rule writes, I read. Her book about a guy I knew when we were teenagers (The End of the Dream) is so Heart wrenching. He was a great, fun, wild guy. I love biographies. Just read a new one about Zelda Fitzgerald. She was not as crazy as she had been made to appear. There was a big fight b/t her & F.Scott over using material for novels & he was able to keep her in the "madhouse" so she couldn't get published. I used to adore F. Scott but now am mad at him.

I like mysteries and psychological thrillers. I also love books about psychic phenomenen especially Sylvia Browne books. There are a few self help books I like to, like The Secret and Simple Abundance. Like you, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in as far as what I read.

I am an avid reader, but tend to the horror genres as they make me feel that my life is not as bad as theirs so it mine looks much brighter!
