I wonder I constantly feel like I am justifying myself for not being medicated when on a daily basis I see newcomers who THINK they are BP but havent seen a Pdoc...
GUYS...if you think that you may have BP go see a Pdoc get checkout go through all the same test questions and general bullshit that the rest of us actually have been through...
You were dxed and the meds didnt help...The first cocktail normally doesnt, go back to your pdoc tell them...Try another cocktail...My first lot actually made me worse...
Research is great but cyber tests dont answer all the questions, they have a broad range of sysptoms listed...
We welcome newcomer but those of you are looking for us to diagnose you, your in the wrong place.
Sorry to my friends just a vent and no offence is intended to anyone...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Its a tough call I know and my personal opinion...
The replies are in the main from medicated people.Medication isn't a sign of weakness. If anything it's a lasting bravery.
So why ask for advice off medicated minds if yr only gonna insult us and say oh...you have meds hang ups.
It's an irony that people come here for selective help.Sad.
Maybe the unmedicated advice questions should state clearly first that they are unmedicated.
Some people assume that they are crashing and need different meds.Ironic.
I don't begrudge people asking about a diagnosis. Almost every reply I make and see other people make is to see a doc. So I think it does people good to be asking. I haven't seen anyone heaping ridicule on responders. If they do it's bad for them and no skin off my nose.
I'm happy if I can be a little help to anyone who's
BP or thinks they are. I had lots of help along the way, too.
Started out as adjustment disorder, not a bad diagnosis. Went to borderline personality, then depression, then PTSD, then bipolar, then ...etc.
The one thing I noticed since the DRGs (diagnoses related groups) came out, every diagnosis is much worse than the early 90s. No one very gets bronchitis anymore, they all have pneumonia. No one has depression anymore, they all have bipolar disorder.
So, I take diagnoses with a ton of salt. Do what works, forget about the label.
