Two Rooms in your place of residence.
One for your Highs...and One for your Lows.
What would you place in each to help make your stay in each state as conducive as possible ?
You are allowed to put some same type items in each...eg, a stereo.
How would they differ in decor etc too.
The Up room...
The Down room..
Describe them as customised by you.
Cheers.
Budget as high or as low as you wish.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have my work room, which is where I work on my designs; really helps me to wind down.
It's white, all white. White walls, white decor, white couch.. you name it, it's white. I can just sit at my desk and absorb myself in my work with no distractions.
My other room is red, LOTS of candles and ethnic-style decor. My telly, my computer, a huuuuge big comfy couch and a real fire.
I love my house.
maybe one room with lots of paints and materials to make stuff, and yes music.
& another dark room with a very comfortable bed and a claw foot bath
& in the corner, perhaps, a bed of nails..to focus the mind, distract.
Oh and a coffee pot of course.

If I had a down-room:
I would do like some others here and make it uplifting.
I'd have all of the things that are in my Best Friends Log Home of course! Antiques fill his home. A weaving loom and Quilts as well as quilts stretched out over frames that "in progress". As well as tons of musical equpment. His collection of $$$$ guitars and him!
It'd have to be a huge room. No one said anything about the size restrictions of this fantasy *grins*.
Okay, first the down room...start with a feather bed with lots of fluffy pillows, soft blankies, and a 1000 thread count down comforter. Keep it very cold and dark to ease the migraine that generally accompanies the pit. Add slow and soft P&W music - great stereo, of course. Then add George Winston music, and a little Anthony Buerger. Next I want reading materials - my Bible and my Strong's Concordance. Then add my spiral bound notebook and a pen. Then some fiction by Frank Perreti. Add my laptop with an endless battery. Then, lots of iced tea, crystal lite, and coca cola. Add snicker bars, frozen cool-pops, potato chips. The room has hardwood floors and it is inside a log cabin, so the walls are the inside type walls of a log cabin. There is a fireplace, with real wood and kindling. There is also a whirpool garden tub in one corner with candles and my fave bath soaps. Place pictures of my daughter through the room, and have her visit periodically, just to remind me of the reasons why... Finish it off with a section open to the outside so sunlight can get in. Place live oaks there, a hammock chair, with a window open to the woods in the back so I can see the wildlife. The door that goes outside takes you to a wonderful nature walk through those pristine and unspoiled woods. Add a set of binoculars. Keep the temps at a nice 75 degrees!
The up room...well first, no credit cards, no shopping channels, LOL! My scrapbooking setup and all that goes along with it. Upbeat P&W music, add in lots of 70's, 80's, 90's, intersperse with bits of country. Add my Bible, some good nonfictional Biblical studies into various topics of interest. Comfy chairs around for my buds, television, place for my daughter to hang out and play and watch her fave TV shows, lots of scrapbooking magazines, parenting magazines, etc. Lots of my daughter's fave books to read to her, her play-do, a little kitchen area for us to make cookies. Add my laptop, again endless battery, along with my best scrapbooking printer. There are lots of windows, and the walls are sunflower yellow! There is a telephone, of course. Lots of coca cola, chips, and chocolate, LOL! The windows look out onto green pastures with several strikingly beautiful paint and quarter horses. They are accompanied by a couple of cute little goats! The door going outside of this room takes you to the walkway out to the barn, all set up with awesome trail riding equipment, including the finest all-leather tack, with that wonderful smell. There is fresh cut hay with a strong aroma, a few chickens and a couple of barn cats. Outside the barn, a riding trail leads into in the vast expanse of woods that connect to the other end of the house.
Pluck, this was an awesome mental journey. Thank you.
