I was wondering, since we all suffer from this disorder, there must be some common factor between us. Did anyone experience something traumatic at a very young age or formative years that stands out in your mind?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Anyway, when I was about 4 my mother and I were at some friends house, my father was in the military, anyway I was playing in the back yard with the womens two little boys, they had this cat and said that it was evil cause it got hit by a car and didn't die, so they had to kill it. They then tied it to a cinder block and took a large mallet and you know what they did, anyway the spray rained across the dress , I was so shocked that all I could do was go in and I just looked at my mother, who then screamed , grabbed me and ran out of the house.
My question, could something so traumatic do something to those chemicals effected by the event we went thru and it somehow put a chemical embalance into action?
I have lots of BP in my family, though, so who knows?
