Sometimes stuff that saners ( those saner than us) say can cause a confused mess of emotions to build in me.
Other times it's quite touching.

Some distant relative at a wedding.Been about 28 years since he's seen me.He sells Pharm drugs for a living.We talked and laughed..then..I mentioned my BP.
" Oh !" ..he said..." You don't look ...er..uh.."
"NUTS ?!?!" I asked coldly.He crumpled.
Prick.

Some are great though and very encouraging.

Have you any Saners stuff to offer ?

Yeah I can't stand the "What's the matter?" question. But people don't get it that when you're BP you'll feel terrible for no reason at all. They think if I'm upset there must be a reason. I get sick of saying, "It's just a BP low." Especially since they really don't understand what that means and still try to 'fix' me.

Pluck, I had a similar thing happen to me, but what is so messed up about it is that the remark was made by a guy who was sent from a mental health facility to pick me up and transport me to the place. On the way to the facility, he says to me, "you don't look like you have anything wrong (i'm thinking he even said i didn't look crazy). what's wrong with you?" WTF? I don't look like I have anything wrong with me? I have mental illness, not smallpox. Anyway, I told him something along the lines of, "well, I can get pretty crazy." He didn't talk about it anymore.

the one that really pisses me off is "what do you have to be depressed about?" or " you always have a smile on your face" or really? omg i want to kick the hell out of them...

When I was grasping a curfew time for my meds to work...

A friend let slip that he had said that I should come out because they don't need to spend as much when I am there.

    I have been here before, a long long time ago and now I am back.Forgive me for not just saying what I want to say,even under a triple dose of antidepressants it is still raw and seeping and I am hesitant at revealing it as at least under the bandages around my heart I don,t have to look at how raw and wounded.My child was cleaved from my heart by his own actions. my child of ten,turning eleven...

    theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
