The holiday season is stressful for a lot of us. So, if we each share something funny which has happened on Thanksgiving, maybe it will relieve some of the stress and yes even sadness.
We have Thanksgiving at my Aunt Clatie's house. One year, we sat at the table and couldn't wait on the food because everything smelled so good. As she placed the last dish on the table, she said "Dig in!". Everyone was looking around to see the turkey meat. Finally, my unlce said, "Where's the turkey?". She gasped, pulled the oven door open, and there it was. That was the year we only had ham for Thanksgiving.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I made a banana cream pie. It looked scrumptious. Our guest (husband) was to be the one to serve. He takes the knife and cuts....he says, "I think the knife is dull". he hacks and hacks, but finally we wound up scooping the filling into bowls. I didn't know not to bake a graham cracker crust. lol. Our sailor husbands dubbed it DECK PLATE PIE. Humiliating, but we all laughed and the other couple started talking. :-)
