Hi well several years ago I started having these strange blisters show up on the tip of my middle finger, the are would first itch, then hurt and turn into small blisters filled with a yellowish puss. I would pop them and it would almost have a pealing look as many layers of skin were showing until it would go away eventually. I had this happen maybe one time a year in the exact same spot. Well this time they moved further down the finger to the side and more little blisters than usual. I went to see the doc today. But only a PA was there. She said it looked like some sort of eczema or something. I tryed to tell her that those little dots she sees turns to blisters, puss comes out and the area gets very hot. She acted like she did not know what it was. I'm wondering if anyone has had something simular to this?

What meds are you on? If you are on Lamictal it could be Stevens Johnson Syndrome, so you may want to get to the E.R. .

Sounds to me like Dyshidrosis. I had it coming and going for a few years, although it hasn't bothered me for quite a while!!! Those were exactly the symptoms I had, except that it affected all my fingertips -- and did eventually start spreading down the sides of my fingers, too. And very itchy!!!!! Here's a link to the Mayo Clini site, concerning the symptoms.
I was prescribed Klobetasol ointment, a steroid cream. That took care of it nicely.
I had to go through a few doctors before I managed to get a diagnosis. Unless I was in the right stage of it when I showed them, they thought I was nuts. (Well, I am, of course, but you know what I mean!)
For all I know, maybe even over the counter cortisone cream would take care of it, if you have trouble getting a doctor to give you the Klobetasol.

If you want to try the journal thing you can get a photo album (small) and use index cards put card on one side and photo on next page so 'trigger/explination' and the photo could be seen at same time along with date and time of photo. or you can use an actual journal of sorts and past the picture. I have one for me and both my kids and it really helps the docs figure out the mystery of the vanishing rashes lol...
good luck
