Has anyone had any experience with having to reimburse their LTD insurance carrier once they are approved for SSD? My husband didn't have to pay tax on the LTD (premiums were paid after-tax), but the SSD will be taxable, from what we understand, due to my income. We were really pleased that he was finally granted SSD, but now we're concerned that we'll have to pay the gross lump sum back payment to the LTD carrier, and then we'll also have to pay the taxes on it..... (He no longer has the LTD coverage - terminated due to the "24 month rule" for mental illness)

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips.
