My doctor diagnosed me as having bipolar II. But I read that if a person has had one or more mixed episodes, then they should have bipolar I. I've had mixed episodes, but I've also had hypomania instead of full blown mania. Can you have mixed episodes and still be bipolar II, or did my doctor possibly give me a misdiagnosis?
