how do u make urself stay awake? I have been sleeping for days I have been sick but now am better but still cant stay awake I need to force myself to stay up so I dont spend my days in bed any ideas??/

I hate when that happens to me. It sounds like your in shut down mode. This disorder can keep us awake for months with little or no sleep and then boom, your body and mind say enough or we would explode, then we can't wake up. Were you manic before this happened? What helped me was for one my body hurt from laying in bed so much so I forced myself to at least sit on the couch and watch tv. That was progress for me. Shower change clothes, then a cup of coffe and some great music to clean the house by, and then I pull out one baby step at a time. I know it is painful to be were you are. Hey atleast your up on your computer good sign;)

ya i have to to come to a friends and use her computer but I even fell asleep here

Start moving around more, go outside for a walk. Then do something that requires physical exertion. Your body will kick in as you move around more.

thanks for the advice..bnoth of you ya I was manic just seems my moods and body go from one extream to another which is what my pd and I are working on...thanks again

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
