does anybody else get this?
it's an actual medical condition.
in which your brain continues to produce the chemical it produces during REM sleep to keep your body still.
but you're out of REM sleep, aware that your brain is awake, but your body can't move.
it's not as bad as the nightmares i get in REM, because i know i'm having sleep paralysis and i know it'll end, but it feels like it won't end and its scary depserately trying to move yr limbs.
i used to get it all the time as a teen.
then it stopped unless i was taking vicodin for one reason or another.
i've been getting it again in the past few months.
i'm wondering if lamictal or seroquel causes it to happen.
anybody?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
it isn't catching
hmmmm
not sure which i'd prefer
i have also woken up in cold sweats
screaming and punching at nothing
or sometimes punching my husband in my sleep when he was there
fucker deserved it anyway
it's probably just me
happens when i sleep too heavy
Does the med your on say anything about sleep anomalies?
It takes Tiny about 7 minutes to wake up and move.
Way to go.
I also had the sleep paralysis on seroquel BAD BAD 50mg back down to 25mg!!!!!
I seem to be having all sorts of night time issues this go around. I think my mania is a lot worse then I or even my therepist or doctor are aware of. I mean I am forgetting some very specific details I had 12 pages of notes for my apt. I did not even get to page 3!!!!
I have another apt next week hopefully I will be off this high!!!
I NEED SOME REAL SLEEP 2 HOURS!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its like my inside wants to wake up and my body wont..I dont remember the dreams, but I think (surprise, surprise) im running, trying to get away..
Its like a paralysis, I can feel my eyes screaming to open, snd they wont, I try to focus all my will on,say my arm/shoulder, and try to send a signal to it (like x-ray beams)to wake up..I can feel my "inner-self" hitting me from the inside, and if I could just drag my eye-lids open, I can see me struggling, like as if I was tied up, wriggling to get free..I feel aware, I wanna wake up but cant. I dont stop wriggling until im awake, just in case im drowning?? Feels like that, trying to get towards the surface..
Im on effexor 300mg, 1000 lithium, and now down to ad-hoc diazipan when required..I stopped taking diazipan too close to bedtime, it is not as severe..Another revelation eh? Nutty paralysis..hmmm, w`ll take that one as well...lol
