You should probably go to the ER, just in case. That would be my safest advice, I think. They might want to admit you, since it's an obvious attempt, even though it didn't go all the way, but still, it might be worth it just to make sure that the results aren't toxic in a serious way. They probably aren't, but still. Be safe. Glad you're still with us.

You took 10 pills of what exactly?

I have taken several overdoses in the past and have had to go to the emergency room at least 4 times. Each time I told them I'd had a drink before doing it and wasn't thinking straight. That it had all been a big mistake. First time threw up so much in emergency room that they just sent me home. Other three times they kept me over night and sent me home in the morning. Even let me keep on my own clothes and go outsidr for a smoke. Hospitals don't want to keep you there a long time and are generally nice safe places.

Without knowing what y ou took I'd suggest you go get checked out just to be on the safe side. I hope you feel better soon x

as 2deep said, what pills did you take, ten might not have done any harm. i took 43 nexicalm and 16 paracetamol and they just kept me overnight, i also told them (lied) that it was alcohol inspired and that i was fine and they let me home with my two sisters! you may not need to go to er depending on what you took.

I've lied and said it was alcohol induced too and not had to even stay in, t hey let me home with my husband and into the care of local mental health team

If you are suicidal you should definitely go to the hospital and be honest with them too. Don't tell them it was alcohol induced when it wasn't. MAybe call your pdoc and tell them what happened. Sounds like you need some help.

Sounds like a panic attack after you realized what was going on. Call your pdoc if you feel comfortable with it. In any case call someone if you go their again.

If you are that suicidal, go to the ER. They'll call your doc and get you help. Maybe next time won't be just ten and we won't be having this conversation. Please get help.

Thanks everyone... it was prozac I took, didn't get started on anything else I don't think. I don't feel suicidal now, which is why I really don't want them to keep me there..

It's best to call you pdoc then and let them know what you did.

Call your Pdoc or even your GP if you feel close enough to them and if not I'd go no to the ER and get looked at. Keep in mind though if your moods are that unstable someone needs to know about that and keep an eye out for you.You may get in a bad spot before you realize it again and not be able to stop.

If it was Vicodin then 10 would be kind of fun. LOL

Or maybe it was Xanax that is another fun one. Either way you don't need to see a doctor for the overdose. Chances are all you did was sleep anyways.

yeah, cranberry juice seems to do everything. I don't know.... my pdoc is in Wales and now I am not. I should probably go to the GP... but will find it really hard admitting I did this. Cause I honestly feel absolutely fine now
