I am at 400mg of Lamictal now and everything is solid. Don't be scared. You hopefully wont have to stay on it forever especially if they are upping your Lamictal.
main side effect is sleepiness, dizzyness, and for a while that "hung over" feeling in the morning. But you get used to it.
Its an amazing drug idk what i would do without it....you have to sign a waiver? lol where do you live?
30 pounds is common
maybe just lucky?
It's more the eating all the time that does it to you. If you wanna eat a lot just try to find sensible foods like fruit or something....slim-fast bars are amazing, theres a lot of protein so they make you full for longer without making you fat lol
My doctor put me on Seroquel, which quieted my mind almost immediately after I awoke from a 12 hour slumber. There was a brief period of depression (only 3 days or so) and so far I have been doing very well with my 200 mg Lamictal& 100 mg Seroquel.
I have been on Seroquel before and weight gain was an issue - mainly because I was too tired to go running and I over-indulged. Other than that I did not experience any side-effects, but of course everybody is different. As for me, if I time things right, I can still go running in the a.m. if I take meds early p.m. - in either event - my sanity is so much more important than a couple of pounds (which can be controlled much easier than my mind :) For the last 2 weeks I have been fairly stable.
Good Luck to you
