that reminds me. The term 'self-centered' can really be mis-interpreted. Like in my spiritual communinity, we are encouraged to look into the self, i.e., self-centered.
It all depends on how a person was introduced to taking care of themselves. For me, whenever I wanted to do something for myself, my main caretaker made me feel guilty. Now my therapist is heping me to get a 'healthy' sense of what being a healthy 'self-centered' is.
It's a different world where those judgements are bent out of shape.
It's funny.Being confident in BP is a brave thing to state.Others will call you arrogant.
I'm all for arrogance then.
Over crippling self-doubts...any day !
But my friend says to me the other day, you know how come it's always about YOU, and I got to thinking, sometimes I AM like that. I don't like that about me.
