I got out of the hospital for a manic episode a few weeks ago and I am now "normal". I really want to quit smoking, but have read a lot about withdrawal triggering moods. Maybe this isn't the best time, I'm sure it isn't, but now I want everything. Does anyone have experience with this?

I found it so easy to quit on Wellbutrin...if yr allowed anti-depressants?

I rapid cycle on any antidepressant. Other ideas?

I've heard of Chantix. Maybe I'll look into that.

works really well you don't even want to smoke it makes it taste so sick.

but, will it reduce the chance of triggering a mood?

I got a little manic BUT I was using the patcch and I doubled up. I cleared it with my doctoor fiirst. I did the large patch for the reggular length of time and put on another large patch for the correct amount of time. and then the same for the medium and samll patch. Have been smoke free for 4 years now. Want a cig everyday but know better. best of luck Oh! I forgot I cut several straws the length of a ciggerett and had them with me the whole time so I could go through the motions if i needed to. it really helps

I did not have any issues with it. it blocks the nicotine from the brain. and makes it less pleasurable and you just don't want to smoke. You can up to a week. But I didn't even make it a week before I stopped because it tasted so dam bad. It took effect for me within a couple hrs of taking my first pill. I smoked a little over a pack a day at my highest.

I quit 23 days ago and I went into a depression by the 2nd week. Be very careful.

Great, thanks!!!

I am using Chantix and it has sent me into a depression. I'm doing a bit better than I was a week ago, but still not great. I think it is still worth it, but just make sure you have some supports in place.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
