There was such a hole left in my heart when my dog Sam died. I kept going out to my sisters house to see her dogs to get my doggie fix and it was so therapeutic but came home to the empty house and was so sad again. I realized I needed a dog of my own.
I did it and did it twice! I'm now the proud owner of two Yorkies, Buddy and Olly. I'll pick them up March 9th. I'm just so excited!! Some puppy lovin for sure. I'm looking forward to something positive in my life and this is it. Call me Crazy but I think it's just what I need......
I don't have to worry about them being alone because they'll have each other and now I'll have them. I'm so happy!!!!
Any helpful puppy hints would be appreciated. LOL

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I'm guessing they are brothers and about 8 wks when you pick them up? I'd start crate training from the beginning and use piddle pads while they are still babies. For accidents, Nature's Miracle is the best...gets rid of the odor so they won't want to go there again and removes the stain.
So happy for you...hope you will post pics when you get them!
Nature's Miracle is magical stuff. I've got an old dog on a diuretic so I'm constantly cleaning up after her, and I love this stuff. The smell disappears completely!
My suggestion to you,is to get 2 crates for them, the black wire type..get them used to their own little "doggie cave"..and while you are at work, you can crate them, and not come home to a chewed up house!LOL!
Crateing sounds cruel, but most professional dog trainers recommend crate training your dog...as it gives them their own space.
When I am home ,my dogs are oout of their crates, but I leave the doors open..sometimes they just go in by themselves to take their naps.
getting my dog this year has been the best thing EVA. Utterly smitten..she really makes me laugh. :)
Yes, they should both have their own crate...it becomes their own special area. As long as you never use it for punishment you will be amazed at how much they WANT to go to bed. Mine put themselves to bed now...LOL...'cept we put a blanket over them and two biscuits. For little dogs, I've found the ferret blankets are a perfect size.
Good luck, be prepared to be loved!
