That's a bunch of my poetry that I've written over the years. Some of them are really dark. Here's one that isn't on the site.
CITADEL ON THE FORSAKEN PLANE
by CJ DUFFY
Innumerable intricate patterns woven from great ambition
The ever-adapting metamorphic creation takes form
A sea of rich, fertile soil flowing into the endless horizon
Meadowland guarded by a bright sun, shining brilliantly
The distance to the north reveals the slight shadows of colossal mountains
Kept at bay by the massive mountain range, a powerful storm rages on
A thriving, crystal clear brook babbles incoherently in the east
To the west, a forest that comes ablaze as the sun begins its descent
The faint whisper of the breeze speaks up to be heard over the water
Flowers that mirror the suns splendor spring up amongst the ground
Alongside strong, luscious trees bearing the fruit of knowledge and life
Such a dreamscape primarily reserved for the most vivid of imaginations
Abounding splendor resonates through this realm; not reality, but quite real
This paradise exponentially grows more beautiful over the passage of days
Yet the tempest looming above the powdered peaks commands attention
Stunningly contrasting with the vivid landscape, initially adding a mystic aura
Creeping slowly over the mountains as the ages pass as by like an animal stalking prey
The impending destructive electric torrent speaks of great age without wisdom
The clash ensues like two nations at war as a mist falls over the dying field
As if an introduction to the cataclysmic downfall, the grass withers and the soil dries
Thick vines begin to grow over the hibernating trees; weeds overtake the cracked earth
The once picturesque sky darkens into from bright blue into a dull monochrome grey
No longer visible are the northern mountains nor the western forest; the brook evaporates
A once thriving ecosystem becomes a damp, post-apocalyptic wasteland of decay
Deafening blasts accompany electric currents that aggressively surge through the clouds
The mist conspires to turn to rain that, while desperately needed, never shows itself
As the spiraling demise reaches its pinnacle, a faint glow from the south emerges
The ground begins to quake slightly when a structure emerges from the desolation
A warm, luminescent glow surrounds this stone citadel on the forsaken plane
Rhythmic, aural vibrations resonate from within the walls themselves
An entrancing pulsing sound that can only be heard from inside the fortress
Being inside the vast cathedral brings inner peace and balance in spite of the storm
Sounds of thunder are absorbed by the glowing outer-walls and are converted within
The essence of the storm becomes a beautiful symphony radiating through the room
Walls change colors and patterns to the beat of the thunderous yet calm percussion
The citadel and the music are completely one; an ever-adapting metamorphic creation
Born from the once thriving wasteland, weathering the gravest conditions eternally
Weakness in the fortification manifests only as the clouds break and the sky brightens
The field absorbs the citadel on the forsaken plane and the growth resumes with speed
Paradise as beautiful as before yet curiously unfamiliar and unsettling; something missing
The enchanting safe-haven in the midst of decay overtakes the grandeur of the pasture
Quite soon, the citadel stands tall once again to watch over the forsaken plane
Silently waiting for the break in the violent tempest that will never again come

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
