I have two wonderful dogs, one of which seems to sense when I'm in a depression and stays by me the whole time until I feel better. The dog we had before her did the same thing for me. There are also many people with mental illness (and of course other conditions) that have true therapy dogs that go with them everywhere. Do any of you find that having a pet, regardless of type, to feed, take care of, and keep you company has been helpful during both stable times and times of need?
