I went to go see a new PDOC today and I wasnt impressed with him. I had something that I had to help represent what has happened to me over a period of time and he refused to look at it.
He asked me a few questions and then wanted to send me on my way. He asked me a few questions but didnt seem to do much information gathering. And I didnt feel like he was really into the meeting.
I am not impressed with him so far. Do you think that I am jumping the gun to try and find a different PDOC after just one apt?

I don't think you'd be jumping the gun. First impressions are important and we don't have time to waste on unproductive people!

I couln't say for sure. I did not like my current after the first vist at ALL. Then I had to call her for a med dosage change and see her again and she was great. I see her the 3rd time next Thursday and I'm hoping it goes well. The info gathering is more for a tdoc.

If you are not happy with this one, then move to the next one. You have to be happy with your care.

NO, you are not jumping the gun. There needs to be a good relationship between you and your pdoc.

My pdoc I see for 15 minutes. We exchange pleasantries any extremes I might be having (just a summary) and I am on my way. My therapist (50 min) gets all my tribulations.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
