When he first put me on Zyprexa he said weight gain is a side effect. Now when I told him that I put on almost 15 lbs. in a month he's saying that it's not necessarily from the Zyprexa (implying it's my fault). Since I started the Zyprexa I have been going to gym and working out hard every other day and trying to be aware of what I'm eating and eat better which has been hard cuz I get these crazy cravings and my stomach feels like a bottomless pit. But I *really* am trying to keep the weight gain in check. It's weird. I feel more bloated than anyting. Could this just be water weight gain?
I see him Monday...I wonder if he will try Abilify or Geodon or keep me on the Zyprexa. It has calmed the really bizarre thoughts I was having and I sleep like a baby but I'm stil very anxious and wound up. I'm on 200mg of Lamictal too and wonder if that needs to be increased. Also taking .25 mg Xanax up to twice a day.
Well. guess I'll get some answers on Monday!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Now I try to keep early appointments, he is so much more helpful and understanding. I think by the afternoon he is fried and sick of us crazies.
But that is my pdoc.
Good luck and thanks for showing me some more amusing stories c/o ignorant doctors.
