Part V...As promised Boxy Baby I was there for your second scan on your Mummy's belly. I was so surprised to see you at approximately 16 weeks, already forming to the point where you were moving around and even sucking your thumb. Yes, we have evidence you were sucking your thumb at four months from being in the belly and it looks like we both have a habit to break.
I just want to let you know you are not in trouble for sucking your thumb, in fact it is cute, but I hope you know it is not becoming of a grown child to continue to suck their thumb. Hopefully you grow out of the habit quickly and you won't be in your teens before you stop doing this, like your Uncle Shane.
Like I mentioned, I too have a habit to break, and I will make a deal with you. My bad habit is smoking cigarettes. This is a very bad habit and proven to be very bad for my health. This is a habit gradually fading out of society and I hope to quit before you are born so you never see me doing this. So if I can quit smoking, you can definitely quit sucking your thumb, but no pressure, in your own time, ok?
I want to grow old and be healthy so I can continue to look after your Mum and yourself, and be a good role model for you both. You have given me motivation to turn things around and I will call on all my strength to be who I know I can be. This starts with a healthy lifestyle, watching my diet and maintaining regular exercise and of course keeping up with my medication.
After writing this entry I have a natural instinct to start explaining myself. The fact is, you should know my story already if you have been reading www.boxrep.blogspot.com and I hope you do not judge. I've worked, I've travelled, I loved and lost many times, but things are different now. I'm no longer a bachelor, I'm now a happily married man, who is soon to be a family man, thanks to you.
My puzzle had already been completed after putting all the pieces together. We are now working on a new puzzle, and piece by piece we are making progress. I'm so proud of you, and yes you made your Dad cry again for the emotional bliss I feel.
Life is good for all the highs and lows, and with certain things in life "where there is an action there is always an equal and opposite reaction" as quoted by Albert Einstein whom was a scientist. He too was committed but recovered to be one of the greatest minds in history, once people started accepting his theories and his way of thinking. I'm not saying I'm a genius like Mr Einstein, but I'm just saying :P (See bad example again, its rude to poke your tongue out, but I'm your Dad, so do as I say, not as I do). :/
What I'm trying to say is, the reason why things are so bad sometimes is because it makes other times feel so damn good! Where there is sadness, there is happiness and visa versa. Accept the good with the bad and keep on trucking. You know (or perhaps you don't) the whole "Ying and Yang" thing which you can search on the internet some day. Believe it or not I was around 20 before the internet even existed. That's like your Nan and Pop saying to me they were around before electricity, but I digress.
Thank you for coming into our lives, and don't forget about our deal.
Love you lots Boxy Baby.
Does anyone have a recurring nightmare? Something that you have had over your lifetime? If you want to talk about it. It can make sense or it be just odd. I have had maybe three different ones during my life. One odd one is I never graduated college. LOL. I was stuck in highschool or something. I know its not a very bad one, but I have this nightmare every so often. I was a bad college student,...
My last post was in 2016 and I honestly feel as if it were yesterday ! I hope everyone here has been doing well. Hope everyone is safe and healthy with COVID-19 taking us by storm. Ive been through a lot since I last logged in. Firstly and worst of all, my sister, my best friend, died 2 days after my 28th birthday on 12-28-17. I was unfortunate enough to be the one who found her. Drug overdose....
