Not sure if this is the right forum for me but I seem to have ended up here so I guess thats a good start. My son was diagnosed with Bi-polar last year and has had two manic/pyschotic episodes. As a parent witnessing and being affected by his manic/pyschotic behaviour is unbelievably challenging. I want to help and struggle to find a way. As a family we have always used complementary medicine and he finds taking the respiridone and depakote unbearable as he has never taken medication precribed by the Doctor. He is now refusing to take it.at all. Does anyone know any alternative remedies that are useful during a manic episode. He has been sectioned twice now as his mania presents with high levels of paranoia and agression. At the moment he is calm but I feel like I am living with a time bomb
