i wanted a faith that i could truly live every day.
i chose buddhism. it had the positive messages of jesus. plus it help me to overcome an overwhelming depression.
through this faith i have come recognize 'god' not as the fatherly human for i was taught about but as the chi - life force that flows through everything & everyone. just as we were taught 'god' did.
i totally respect everyone's belief in their version of god, allah, yaweh, brahma, vishnu, etc.
great question!
After looking at many of the religions I have come to the conclusion that if I had to follow a religion it would be Buddhism. It isn't really a religion though, more like a mental philosophy or a way of life. It is non-theistic i.e. they don't believe in Gods or Deities unlike the three monotheistic religions such as Islam, Christianity or Judaism. Buddhism uses a form of logic and mental philosophy that is very appealing to me.
"After looking at many religions you've decided to follow Buddhism...which isn't really a religion...???"
