This is off the topic but I know there are a few nurses on this board that may be able to answer my question. I'm also going to post this on the drug addiction board. As some of you may know my sister is a nurse. She was or is (I'm still not sure) addicted to drugs. My dad and I had her admitted into a public hospital to have her detoxed. Now she is saying it is our fault she cant get a job. Do any of you know of nurses that have been through detox or rehab that are still nurses? She claims when she applies for a job they can get access to her medical records and that's why they don't hire her. Could this be true? Could I be the one that ruined her career?
