No anxiety meds

The hospital took me off all my anxiety meds and my psychiatrist won't give me anything except 5mg Zyprexa for emergency use only. This completely sucks and forces me to rely almost entirely on my coping skills and I am not ready for this! I feel as long as I stay home I will be safe. My sister wants to take me out for my birthday but it's a surprise.

Kisses you have learned many coping skills...for me if I get figgits, knitting always helps me. Here is a new idea where you would be helping people...especially in nursing homes. I saw this the other day and will be making them.

Crochet or Knit, about a 3 inch long and about 1 inch high. attach button on each end. This is used to hold mask elastic Not Behind Ear, rather the elastic goes around the buttons...make longer or shorter to fit person. I saw this on the secretary at my dr's office and he says It's So Much Better and Less irritating than wearing behind ears.

Maybe also go down and catch one of those Monster Cat Fish :)
Happy Easter and I do hope today will bring you some relief...usually takes a bit of time to feel better after being in hospital :)

My birthday is in 11 days. No idea where we are going she just said eat before she picks me up and dress comfy.

I have been making war savers but it got boring.

I empathize with you, kisses. I don't know what I would do without my backup anxiety meds. Natural methods don't always work for me, especially when it's physiological and I'm not worried about anything. Why just use olanzapine as a PRN instead of taking it regularly to reduce anxiety?

I felt like this when I was told I couldn’t take Ativan anymore. But it gets better! Focus on anxiety reduction skills with your therapist if you can! Keep experimenting with things that can help. It can even be stretching or yoga with breaths. I’m sorry you’re feeling low. I believe you can develop strong coping skills!

I have been on 10mg Zyprexa daily for a while now. He just increased it and added 5mg prn.

I will talk to my therapist tomorrow about coping skills.

Exercise always helped me with anxiety, when I was physically able to exercise that is.

    I have neurological conditions, and mood stabilizers make my muscle stiffness worse to the point that I can't get back into my wheelchair after trying lamotrigine, then Seroquel, then Abilify. Then I fired my psychiatrist after he tried to get me to withdraw from Ativan before I stabilized on a mood stabilizer. So while on the waiting list to see a new psychiatrist, I have to use my family...
