I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
But, if you have to, umm, try to arrange your sleep time for right after your shift. Heavy, dark blinds or curtains on the window. But sure how people negotiate sleep meds in this situation. Anyone?
Now I take no meds and I am doing well with it. I still sleep better on my days off if I sleep at night, but not always. I do like victoria said and sleep as soon as I get home. I find that if I do not, then I never end up getting to sleep untill 3 hours before I leave for work again.
I guess it's a choice for the individual.
The worst shift for me was working the 'back-shift'... 2pm - 10pm !! Known as the dead-man's shift ! (self-explanatory ! )
Like blade I feel like I sleep and work although I only work three days a week. Spread out there's a lot of make up sleep days. I have to do 3 in a row on my weekend on and it about kills me. I don't feel I get enough sleep in between shifts and in the am feel like a zombie driving home.
Not sure if it affects me mania/depressed wise as I cycle pretty quickly anyways.
