Hello, Im new to this support group and new to bipolar in general. I have always been anxiety and depressed, but never saught out treatment. After the birth of my twins I became suicidal and was diagnosed hypothyroid and MDD. After a year of treatment and two hypomanic episodes (triggered by med switches) I was diagnosed type 2 bipolar. I am still educating myself on this and have found that many who are bipolar also have thyroid issues. Have any of you been down this road im on? It hasnt been an easy one on me or my family especially with young kids. I am looking for advice, support, stories....anything! I start lamictal next week.... Thanks!
