Hi,
Even if it's difficult to live with this illness, i feel lucky to know what i have, after all these years when i was not sure on the morning to be alive for the evening.
Now i have a hope to have a futur for me and my kids and i know how to ask help if i don't feel well.
I have a thought for all people who are ill like us but have never been diagnosed yet, because they still in danger.
Christine

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I was misdiagnosed with depression for 3 years. The mania for me was always sever irritation and being hypersensitive to sound, touch, light, everything. I thought it was part of depression....my psychiatrist (who sucked) put me on an antidepressant and I went THROUGH THE ROOF MANIC...I wasn't sleeping, I was spending money like it was my job, I was sleeping around, shit just basically hit the fan, and I told her all this and she was like "oh it's a common reaction" so I switched psychiatrists and my new one was SHOCKED that she didn't catch it....needless to say he got me on meds and I'm (kind of) sortted out.....bad lately but ive been diagnosed for 2 years now
yes the diagnosis is the only way you can get treated successfully else they cause harm treating just mania or depression. It also means you can learn about triggers and strategies online and here on DS.
Mostly I find it touching that you end in such a compassionate note of worrying about those out there still in danger, not diagnosed. YOu have a kind heart. Hope to see your comments online...
