I have a step daughter that was just dx. She had an episode (her 2nd) where she was hearing voices and thought her husband was the devil. She was hospitalized for 8 days and they released her. She is on an anti-psychotic and I believe one other thing. Her husband does not want to share a lot of info - wants to handle this his way. My question, she has a toddler and an infant and is alone with them during a good part of the day. Do you think she needs someone to be with ther and the kids during the day until they do a physical exam and a psuchiatric exam? At this point she spoke to an Dr. at the treatment center they sent her to for an hour and he told a judge she in not a danger to herself or others but we are very worried for the kids until she can get proper diagnosis and treatment. Do we have reason to be concerned? The baby was involved in her last episode. She also uses marijuana, but says she is trying not to. Thanks for your help.
