I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
i know my hubby is going thru a lot with me right now, not because i say mean things, but b/c he is sick of me having to deal with bp.
it takes someone with a lot of patience to be with someone with bp...i would say don't give up on her...i can give more advice if i know more.
It can be hard when your loved one is unwell & it always has to be about them, it's easy to lose yourself amongst it all.
Hold her hand & try to concentrate on getting her well again so things can slowly start being about you again too.
As bipolar supporters sometimes we have to put ourselves on the backburner, much the same as when we have kids & they have to come first!
Find something to do just for you, whether it's taking a daily walk, learning a new craft, something that has absolutely nothing to do with bipolar & everything to do with you. Routine can bring comfort to a family, arrange a night each week where you take the kids to the movies?
Working together as a family helps but I know how hard it can be when sometimes all you feel like doing is collapsing in a drained heap.
